They are done. All 12 commissions are finished.
Some people received their portrait last Saturday. Some will receive them at other times, at the end of other dog competitions.
It was a great joy and pleasure to work on these lovely pets. Interacting with them although lways in spirit is such a marvellous experience.
Now I can have a little time doing some of my own work. Finish Dream's portrait and work on some idea's which do include dogs, and start a new series of rose paintings.
I am so looking forward to this.

I have been looking through your work. they are so wonderful. I was thinking about painting my dog,but i dont think it would come out as good as yours.which of course,that is what i would want...can't wait to see what is the next thing you post.

As for doing the portraits: you too can do them: practice, study, compare, repeat..... It will work and I know you too can do it.
It is such a wonderful job.
I have not done a lot lately: been rather ill. Worked on some pieces in Oils. Mainly flowers. Some okay, some good, some went directly to the bin.
Feeling a bit better now so now I can move to the other easel again and work on some commissions again.

Hi there, I just stumbled on your blog by clicking 'next blog'. Your portraits are wonderful, I think because you clearly capture the personality of these dogs so I look at the picture and feel I know something about the dog himself. My favourite is Raffle - such an unusual coat. I am a fairly new painter and have a lot to learn, am in total admiration of your work. Nice to have found you, will visit again. Betty
