The head study continues

The last session on this head study was done at night using a "day-light tube".
It does give plenty of light to work with, however, upon looking at my work in daylight the following morning I noticed that the light had cast a blue-ish light on everything and the painting looked odd.
So I sat with it for a little while re-assessing the situation and which path to follow. Staying with the blues and purples, going more chromatic or going back to my original plan on trying to create a realistically looking head.
I opted to go back to my original plan and started painting, making sure to stay away from some of the colours I had used the night before which had created the strange look.
I managed to do the light side of the face and decided to continue the following day with the same light.
Yesterday I continued on the dark side of the face, and worked on the neck and shirt until the light changed again. It was difficult to get a good photo but this one will do as it reasonably represents the stage the painting is at.

More to do which will hopefully be tomorrow, again only with daylight.
